The movie starts showing the sight of a village.
Which has a great wall.
No villager could move to the opposite direction of the wall.
A boy villager is curious to know as what is on the other side of the wall.
There is a guard sitting there when he goes there.
He forbids him to go there. This wall has been here for many years.
And no one crossed it. Nor will I let you go.
But that boy forcefully moves to that direction of the wall.
There was a magical land in that direction of the wall.
That boy is left astonished, witnessing it.
He meets a girl there when he goes to their market.
Who says to him while gifting a flower , It is for your good fortune!
That boy begins to walk along with that girl.
He discovers a thread in her foot. He asks him, Which type of the thread is this?
She tells, I live here with a witch!
I had been the princess of this land but this witch enslaved me!
This thread is like a chain. It will appear again if you cut it.
Then they both spend a good time with each other.
They spend much time with each other.
Then that villager boy returns to his village.
After a long time, that wall guard visits his house .
He says ,giving him a baby placed in the basket, This was put on the wall with your name!
It means , this basket has been sent here for you.
It is your baby! Which was begotten by that princess.
That boy names that baby "Tristan".
Eighteen years are passed. Obviously, "Tristan" had grown to 18 years old.
He begins to take interest in a girl.
Now the view of magical land is shown.
The king of that kingdom was seriously ill.
There were only three sons who survived among his 7 sons.
Who could make the victim of one another in order to possess this kingdom.
King displays them a locket with the fixed ruby.
The king says to three of them,
That son will be able to search for this ruby who will deserve and be able to be a king.
Then he throws a ruby into the sky which is lost in the space.
It crashes with a start . As a result, that star appears in the World.
On the other side, "Tristan" and his beloved are sitting together.
Then that star falls . "Tristan" says to her, If I bring that start for you!
Would you be my wife? She says that I give you a time for it for a week.
"Tristan" goes to that wall of which guard stops him.
He says to his father, returning to his home.
Father! I wish to go there as you visited.
My mother may be alive till now. It means , the princess of that kingdom!
His father says, Okay! You may go.
He also hands him over that flower,
Which was given to him by magical kingdom's princess or Tristan's mother.
Tristan's father also gives him a letter.
There was also this letter with you when you were delivered here in a basket.
I thought, I will reveal everything to you when you will be mature.
The statements of letter was, The witch with which I am living,
It is not permitting me to bring you up.
I have the great affections for you so I am gifting a magical candle to you!
You will reach to me if you think about me after lighting it.
My son! I will yearn to meet you soon .
Now "Tristan" begins to think about her mother, lighting that candle.
At the same time, his thought is diverted to the broken star.
So he reaches that place where that star had fallen.
He discovers a very charming blond haired girl there.
She had the same locked with fixed ruby around her neck.
"Tristan" gets the point , this girl is the same fallen star from the sky.
She tells her name "Yvaine".
Now "Tristan" and "Yvaine" start their journey to that World.
Even though "Yvaine" did not wish to go there.
In spite of it, "Tristan" clears the fact saying, You can come back to this World through this candle.
Just come with me at once!
I have to fulfill my given words to someone!
Now they begin to move to that village.
But those three sons of the king also follow them.
Who wanted to get that ruby. Now three witches had also witnessed this fallen star.
Who were the aged witches. They wanted to attain the heart of that girl.
So they may be turned into young while eating it.
One of the aged witches eats one of the fallen stars which turns her into a young witch.
Now these three witches and king's 3 sons are after them.
So they are stopped to go to the village.
"Yvaine" gets tired when they are walking.
Because she says that I wake up at night and have rest in the day time.
So "Tristan" says tying her with a tree, Wait for me here!
I bring some food to eat!
But she is not bound with a tree when "Tristan" returns back.
In fact, a unicorn had taken her away with it.
Contrarily, It is shown that the witch who had turned into a young witch,
It turns a male goat into its husband between two.
And it turns another goat into its daughter
It means , it creates a fake family , using magic.
And it makes a house on the passing way of "Yvaine".
And it begins to reside there as a family.
Because it knew that "Yvaine" will visit here.
And she will stay here, thinking of it a family.
On the opposite side, it is seen that it is a night time,
And "Tristan" is taking rest at his place, reclining with a tree.
Meantime, Yvaine's sister approaches there.
Who tells him, I am the sister of "Yvaine".
She has been entrapped by a witch.
And she will take her life. It had really happened.
That "Yvaine" and her unicorn enter that witch's house,
And that witch captures "Yvaine".
She tells "Tristan", That witch wants to eat the heart of "Yvaine",
So she may be turned into a young witch.
You will have to rescue her! "Tristan" runs in that direction.
But he is hit with a carriage. A carriage where a king's son was seated.
He was going in search of the ruby.
"Tristan" says to him when he is going to kill him.
Take me with you! I will help you!
Now they move to a place where the witch had made that house.
That witch was nearly to pull Yvaine's heart out that,
Then they both knock at that door of that house. Then they enter .
That witch moves to the son of the king.
She gives him the poisonous alcoholic drink.
But he forbids to take it. Then that witch goes to "Tristan", taking that alcoholic drink.
But unicorn throws that drink before he takes it.
Seeing the unicorn, "Tristan" understands that "Yvaine" is also here.
He immediately enters. He observes that witch has killed king's son.
It is also known that king's third son has also be ended.
And he had been killed giving the poison by these two brothers.
Only one son of king had survived after the death of this king's son.
Who was after this ruby now.
Now it is seen that witch is nearly to kill "Tristan" and "Yvaine".
Then "Tristan" lights that candle.
And he says to "Yvaine", Think about the house!
But they reach over a cloud. The flying ship appears below the clouds.
There are some people who attack the ships. And their leader helps them.
He meets with them and they are befriended.
He also teaches "Tristan" the swordsmanship.
Now the the crew of the ship drop them on the way which was near the stone wall.
Getting off the flying ship, they reach that place.
But that place was still at a distance of that wall.
And they may take the two days to reach there on foot.
Then there comes a carriage and a lady is seated in it.
It was the same witch who had enslaved Tristan's mother.
"Tristan" asks it, Can you take us to that wall?
Then that aged witch witnesses that flower in his pocket.
Which was given to that boy by the princess.
She thinks that it is my good luck charm.
She asks "Tristan", Can you give me this flower!
I will take you to that wall if you give me the flower.
"Tristan" had to move to that wall immediately.
Because his beloved had only given him the time of one week.
And he has to return, taking this star to her.
Which was this girl. And he had to tell that she is a real star.
As "Tristan" returns that flower to that witch,
That aged lady transforms into a rat magically.
And it puts "Tristan" and "Yvaine" in her carriage.
"Yvaine" is talking to her on the way.
Her words were clearly indicating that she had started to like "Tristan".
They reach near the wall. But there was still a little distance of wall.
It means, they could go to that wall on foot, passing a little distance.
Now witch takes them out from it and transforms "Tristan" into the human being again.
"Tristan" had weakened so he is unable to attack that witch.
They move from there but are exhausted.
There is inn on the way and they take rest there.
"Tristan" declares "Yvaine" ,Even though I was transformed into a rat but I heard your all words,
That you have affections for me. Then "Yvaine" begins to feel shy.
And she begins to laugh. "Tristan" says that I am also feeling that I have started to like you.
Next day, "Tristan" cuts her lock.
And he returns to his village. He gives that lock to that girl.
Who was his beloved. "Tristan" says to that girl,
That I have affections for "Yvaine". As that girl uncovers that piece of cloth ,
There is stardust instead of Yvaine's lock.
"Tristan" understands that "Yvaine" cannot survive in this World!
Coming here, she will be turned into a stone.
It will be turned into the stardust.
"Tristan" had come here, leaving "Yvaine" in her resting position inside the inn.
He immediately runs there that "Yvaine" may not approach here.
She may not be turned into a stone. On the other side , it is seen that "Yvaine" had awakened.
The owner of inn tells her that he has departed to the village.
He may have gone to his beloved.
Being sad, "Yvaine" moves to the village so she may ask "Tristan",
Contrarily, that young witch is also coming after her.
Because it knew that it will get "Yvaine" to this direction.

Then that young witch is also appeared there.
At the same , that witch also gets off the carriage who had enslaved Tristan's mother.
That young witch kills that witch with envy.
Due to this, that Tristan's mother or princess is released .
But that young witch had begun to turn into old witch, losing its power .
Now the heart of "Yvaine" was required for it as soon as possible.
It enslaves "Yvaine" and Tristan's mother or princess.
On the other side, "Tristan" also approaches near that wall.
Guard reveals to him everything.
Then "Tristan" instantly moves to that magical land.
He reaches the place where all three aged witches were present.
And there were imprisoned "Yvaine" and his mother.
He begins to rescue them . At the same time, King's last survived son reaches there.
He says to him. The purpose of both of us is to kill all three witches.
Why we not kill them together! They both go inside.
Noticing her son, Tristan's mother heads towards him.
And she embraces him. "Tristan" also gets excited, seeing his mother.
And the king's last survived son kills one of the three witches.
But the giant and menacing witch among them enslaves the king's son life into a magical doll.
And it begins to break the feet and hands of that magical doll,
So that prince is also feeling pain,
And his feet and hands are fracturing. So he meets his end soon.
And that prince sits with other poor souls of king's sons who were watching all this happening there.
Now it is seen that another witch begins to attack "Tristan".
But "Tristan" opens all placed cages there.
Which had animals who were actually the human beings.
They kill that second witch while attacking them.
Now there is remained a giant and menacing witch.
There is great fight between them.
But that witch instantly thinks something.
Then it opens the string of carriage instead of killing with its sword.
And it says to them, my both sister have been ended.
What will be the purpose of my survival!
No witch remained alive in my magical land.
It says to them, You both may leave from here!
And it itself begins to weep. As they begin to move outside from that place,
All doors of that place are closed.
Actually, it was the conspiracy of that witch.
Because Yvaine's heart may be broken in case it kills "Tristan",
Which was of no use for her. This witch proceeds to kill "Yvaine" and "Tristan".
Then "Yvaine" hits upon a plan. And she says to "Tristan",
Embrace me! "Tristan" asks her, But why!
Then "Yvaine" says to him, Do you know what happens when a star gets heat!
It shines! And its emitting light is brightest as compared to the past.
It is brightest. In the same way, they embrace each other.
And they spark too much. Due to this light, that aged witch flew away turning into the steam.
"Tristan" asks her, Why did you to do it before!
"Yvaine" tells him, I continued to think that you like another girl.
So my heart was not completely stabilized.
When I believed that you are really in love with me,
So I got courage to act like this.
I could do it. When "Tristan" touches the ruby in the locket around her neck.
Then its color begins to alter. Tristan's mother tells him that,
Notice! Its colour is altering. It means that you will be the king of our magical land.
Now it is seen that "Tristan" is chosen as a king of that kingdom.
And he is wedded with "Yvaine". Where the concern of that girl,
Who was liked in the village by "Tristan", she was not sincere.
She was with him for the material gains.
Now they are gifted a magical candle at their wedding.
They can reach any place if they think that place while lighting it.
Now it is seen that eighty years have passed.
"Tristan" and "Yvaine" continued to rule there.
When they begot and their children begot then they decide,
Then we will move to the sky through this candle.
"Yvaine" was already a star but she had also gifted her whole heart to "Tristan",
So he had also turned into a star.
